Last year I bought my first Tarina Tarantino palette which was full of flower inspired colors. I really liked that palette, so I bought her new one Emerald Pretty (see, still the Green Week theme). Inspired by The Wizard of Oz, the colors are mostly muted and naturals and are surprisingly wearable-especially for those who shy away from greens.
I’m a sucker for good packaging and this one delivers. A mirror (which makes it portable) and deep eye shadow dishes. For me that means I’m DEFINITELY getting my money’s worth. I love Stila palettes, but I always find that the eyeshadow dishes aren’t deep enough and the eyeshadows are little powdery so I go through them pretty quickly. Not here. The colors are nicely pigmented which means a sweep with a shadow brush and you’ll get good coverage. I swatched them below for you in two different lights-the top in my bathroom the bottom in my living room with just natural sunlight. I also took a close up picture of Dandy Lion because it’s a really pretty olive bronze that didn’t show up as well in the group photo there. Buildable, blendable colors that are very on trend for the Fall. I am really happy I picked up this palette!
